Job Description

You will take part in detailed investigations into the configuration of distribution networks, including operational requirements of Service reservoirs, Trunk Mains and Water Pumping Stations and the potential impact on the delivery of performance commitments monitoring low pressure. You will be expected to ensure every SMA and PMA has a pressure logger and that all PRVs are logged.

Responsibilities:

• In this role you will also be required to take ownership of alarms and manage pressure drift – upwards and downward.
• You will identify spiky pressure data which indicates PRV or logger malfunction and investigate high pressure areas, looking for correlations with leakage, CML and burst frequency.
• You will also raise work for the DM team for pressure logger faults, raise proactive works for leakage / field to check pressure drifts in DMAs and review PRV controllers and performance, including visibility in Netbase, minimising HDF impact, maximising leakage benefit.
• As one of our Pressure Analysts,
• you will take ownership of data maintenance jobs, highlighting any issues where these are not completed in a timely manner and where that is impacting upon the reporting of the distribution pressure network. You’ll build strong relationships and communication links with the data analyst team, data maintenance team, Leakage engineers & TSE’s, while supporting Innovation projects.

Requirements:

• Proven track record of interpreting / compiling and data analysis is essential
• Qualifications to HND level or evidence of relevant experience in a numerical role.
• Experienced in Yorkshire Water’s corporate systems including: SAP, AI2, Odyssey, SRM, YorBill, outlook email services
• Confident at presenting and an effective decision maker
• Effective communication skills, an empathetic attitude and experience of providing excellent customer service
• Ability to focus on specific activities whilst understanding the wider impact of service delivery to all customers
• Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships with colleagues and customers
• Enthusiastic with the ability to demonstrate drive, dedication and ambition to deliver first class customer service skills
• Demonstrate ability to negotiate and influence at higher, strategic levels
