Responsibilities:

• Define FinOps governance standards and processes
• Lead in developing cost metering models and identify / design FinOps tooling to enable cost introspection of different types of workload deployment architectures (eg. Cloud, K8S, Serverless, Vmware, SaaS applications etc.)
• Develop key measurement metrics and visualisation tools for driving ‘culture of cost’ across the organisation
• Develop central reservation purchase and other central cost management intervention strategies on key Cloud platforms
• Establishing best practices for design for cost and design visualisation engagements. Run technical engagements with the businesses/workload owners.
• Define cost modelling frameworks, tools and governance to support business in modelling emerging workloads

Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge in one or more of the key Cloud platforms (GCP, Azure and AWS) on :
• Cloud billing systems and analysis of billing artefacts.
• Cost management and purchasing strategies, including Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, Spot Instances.
• Cost modelling and support in refactoring for cost
• Cloud governance architectures
• Demonstrable hands-on knowledge of:
• HashiCorp Terraform
• Serverless development framework
