Job Description

Wincanton has opened up an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised Health & Safety Advisor to join our successful team in Basildon. Reporting directly to the Senior Transport Shift Manager, you will play a key role in delivering Zero Harm across the site.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the management team to ensure timely completion of any near miss and accident investigation reports
• Seek Continuous Improvement on all aspects regarding HSE across the site
• Support the compilation and collation of all SHE KPI data for monthly presentations
• Support the creation and maintenance of Management Plans
• Conduct safety inspections across Wincanton operations
• Fully support relevant internal and external audit processes on site
• Upload Health, Safety and Environment information in to Airsweb (Wincanton) and SIMS (Client system)
• Take part in regular PVI inspections alongside operational team\
• Support the consistent delivery of company and site inductions to all colleagues
• Assist the teams in the development of Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and Risk Assessments (RA) to the required quality and within specific timescales set

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a H&S role
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages
• Creative flare to support the communications on site
• Self motivated and self disciplined
• Meticulous attention to detail
• High standard of work and integrity
• Can operate successfully with all levels of colleagues and management
• Able to resolve multiple and/or complex issues while under pressure
