Job Description:

For this role we need someone who had done A-Level’s or a BTEC, ideally in an IT related area, with a keen interest in software, networking, hardware or operating systems. A passion for learning is a must as alongside the role

Responsibilities:

• Implement IT infrastructure changes, ensuring technical implementation and backout plans are
• provided in line with policy to ensure the objectives are met in a timely manner.
• Triage, manage and resolve IT incidents and Service Requests through accurate diagnosis, investigation, executing appropriate remedial actions and giving timely communication to the customer within agreed SLA’S.
• Maintain and develop the event management and response capability within the infrastructure team to reduce time to discover and resolve service events, incidents and problems, enduring all are delivered to the required service levels as defined by the business.
• Define and develop automation routines to aid workload and improve overall process of a task or procedure.
• Proactive monitoring of systems performance, application health, capacity, scripts.

Requirements:

• Build and maintain knowledge article for use within the team and other IT service areas.
• Execute the schedule of infrastructure essential maintenance and patching to ensure minimal exposure to security vulnerability and continuity of service support.
• Manage system backups – tape management, restores, backup success, troubleshooting
• Deliver technical support skills for the transition and/or roll-out of new services with minimal business impact.
• Hardware imaging and builds (desktop, till, RF guns, mobile etc).
