Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join our Sales & Operational Planning team as a Merchandiser based on average 2 days a week at a wilko site and then remotely the rest of the week.

Responsibilities:

Engaging with key stakeholders across key business functions to ensure consideration of impact within each business unit and function is inclusive within the final trading plans.
Contributing towards reviews of methods and process for taking key learnings from trading activity and ensuring this is fed back into the relevant strategies to drive continual improvement.
Supporting the interpretation of the product and customer strategy and the creation of category specific trading plans including identification of trading opportunities and execution of strategic business plans against the agreed KPI’s.
Maximise availability of the product portfolio ensuring this is within budgeted stock targets.
Managing production of and interpretation of daily, weekly and monthly business reporting on the performance and health of each category in relation to its past and current performance and future progress towards agreed KPI’s.
Land timely execution of all new ranges and promotions in the category area.
Identifying the underlying principles, reasons for performance within areas of responsibility and seek approval for and implement remedial actions where necessary for optimum range performance, working in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Requirements:

For this role we need someone who has a minimum 3 years’ experience in a merchandising or supply chain/logistics position from a retail background, ideally with experience within fashion. With an analytical and data driven approach basing your decisions on trend and customer insights. You’ll have a proven track record of achieving results and delivering against your KPIs, contributing to the profitability of your organisation.
