Position Title:Technical Specialist Apprentice

Job Description:

Responsibilities:
- Proactive monitoring of systems performance, application health, capacity, scripts
- Maintain and develop the event management and response capability within the application support team to reduce time to discover and resolve service events, incidents and problems, enduring all are delivered to the required service levels as defined by the business.
- Triage, manage and resolve IT incidents and Service Requests through accurate diagnosis, investigation, executing appropriate remedial actions and giving timely communication to the customer within agreed SLA’S.
- Implement IT application changes, ensuring technical implementation and backout plans are
- provided in line with policy to ensure the objectives are met in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Build and maintain knowledge article for use within the team and other IT service areas.
- Produce software packages to deliver authorised software to Wilko end users.
- Define and develop automation routines to aid workload and improve overall process of a task or procedure.
- Execute the schedule of infrastructure essential maintenance and patching to ensure minimal exposure to security vulnerability and continuity of service support
- Deliver technical support skills for the transition and/or roll-out of new services with minimal business impact.
