Job Description

Twitter is seeking a Researcher/Sr. Researcher to be part of our Revenue team, focusing on Revenue Diversity to support our Revenue Durability initiative. At Twitter, our research and insights play an integral part in inspiring the products that fuel Twitter’s mission to give everyone the power to create and share information without barriers. Our team has direct impact on revenue diversification strategy, product roadmaps and the design of new experiences that help Consumers, Creators and Businesses get more out of Twitter.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver creative and impactful insights stories that engage our partners and also elevate the Experience Research function as a whole (where possible).
• Promote and lead subscription and payments trend synthesis and competitive landscape analysis through investigation of rapidly shifting marketplace dynamics, and serve as a trusted advisor for partners in the space.
• Build collaborative relationships with a wide array of cross-functional partners
• Through mixed research methods, develop customer-centric insights that guide our subscription strategy across teams in Product, Design, Engineering, Product Marketing and Data Science.

Requirements:

• Ability to express ideas clearly and simply, and negotiate when necessary. Listen to others; create an environment where all are comfortable expressing thoughts; and promote timely and ongoing flow of information.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships remotely and cross-functionally to influence strategic decisions.
• Have a track record of delivering customer-centric thought leadership that informs business, marketing and/or product development strategies and roadmaps.
• Bachelor’s Degree in fields related to Research, Social Sciences, Economics or equivalent experience
• Ability to manage through ambiguity
• Experience in Growth, Market Research, B2B and/or Ad-tech research experience is a plus
• Strong business acumen; an understanding of business goals, strategies and pressures while being aware of industry trends and competitive actions.
• Have working knowledge of subscription services and payment platforms
• An entrepreneurial, forward thinking mentality and a creative approach to problem-solving
• Strong foundational knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods
• 6+ years driving mixed method (qual and quant) strategic research projects at an agency, in-house, or both for technology companies, mobile software products and systems, or in the media & advertising space
