Position Title: Training Advisor

As a Training Advisor you’ll be a key member of the People Development & Training team, making sure that all our colleagues have the right knowledge, skills and behaviours to ensure our customers have a great stay and want to return.

You’ll be part of a growing People Development and Training team that are building the capability of our colleagues by identifying, designing and delivering inspirational products that develop the capability of our colleagues and build further on our reputation of being a ‘great place to work’.

Although you will be based in a Region, this is a nationwide role, which will involve extensive travel whilst delivering training programmes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop / reproduce / acquire classroom materials
  • Coordinate rosters of participants
  • Work in partnership with key stakeholders and the People Business Partners to ensure buy-in to all planned learning and development activity.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts / guest presenters to gather their input during training delivery.
  • Respond to course inquiries and / or forward to the appropriate representative.
  • Provide feedback to learning designer / course owners on content and make recommendations for improvements
  • Update learning records in the LMS
  • Deliver training in a range of formats (both in person and virtually) for both individuals and groups that enthuse and enable delegates to learn and apply new skills and behaviours
  • Schedule logistics for training delivery (room, facilities, catering etc)
  • Schedule face to face training in enterprise Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Collect course feedback (level one (1) evaluation)

Requirements:

  • Outstanding facilitation skills that engage and motivate learners.
  • Desire to challenge and build on existing practices, to positively impact the business and support the overall business strategy.
  • Initiative and personal drive to manage and deliver own workload without frequent supervision.
  • Customer focused and ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Experience in a learning and development role doing delivery for a range of behavioural interventions.
  • Excellent planning and organising skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity when needed.
