Responsibilities:

• Structural analysis and design of buildings including substructure, superstructure, primary and secondary elements in all major materials including steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry
• Undertake engineering design, including concept, scheme, and detailed design
• Environmental impact assessment of civil and structural engineering designs, including embodied carbon
• Responsible for liaising with external stakeholders and other members of the design team to produce well-co-ordinated designs which fully meet the client’s brief.
• Provide a proactive and collaborative approach to clients to ensure the best solution is offered to meet their needs
• Delivery of your own project work to agreed budgets and programmes
• Produce structural calculations using Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds, Robot, Staad Pro, Excel and other industry software packages in accordance with Eurocodes and British Standards
• Produce hand calculations, technical reports, and sketches

Requirements:

• This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and highly-motivated graduate structural engineer to join a large consultancy in a well-established yet still developing team, with the responsibility for technically delivering exciting buildings projects.
• You would be part of our Northern Division as part of a 45 strong structural team who are located across Manchester, Altrincham, Liverpool, Leeds, Newcastle, and Sheffield.
