Position Title: Full Stack Software Engineer

Job Description

As a Full Stack Software Engineer at our world-leading ISIS Neutron and Muon Source Facility, you will join a team of engineers to tackle the responsibility of crafting, implementing, and maintaining both new systems and upgrades for current systems. You will collaborate closely with our experienced team of software engineers and developers, offering you the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in this area. You will have multiple opportunities for advancement within the team and outside of the current project.

Responsibilities:

• Project documentation.
• Coding to the required standard in various languages.
• Testing and reviewing code using both manual and automated tools
• Designing and implementing systems and upgrades for new and current systems.
• Working with other specialists to complete tasks in a utilising agile methodologies.

Requirements:

• Experience with or demonstrable understanding of some of the following: Object-oriented programming, SQL/MySQL, Python, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Some understanding or experience of good software practices.
• An understanding or desire to understand cloud infrastructure.
