Job Description

A large and growing St James’s Place Practice in the Midlands is looking to add to their Senior Leadership Team by recruiting an Advisor Development Manager. This is a key role and they are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to undertake this opportunity and to forge a long term career while contributing to the overall strategy of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day to day running of the Advisory Team
• Become a member of the Leadership Team and contribute to the strategic plans for the Practice
• Conduct regular beneficial reviews with Advisors to continuously improve efficiencies, knowledge and output
• Being the operational go-to person for the Advisors as required
• Interact positively with all colleagues with the business to ensure the smooth running of the overall operation
• Support colleagues to ensure collective goals are reached
• To be accountable for all compliance related matters
• Attendance at corporate and client events representing the business as required

Requirements:

• Successful career in Financial Services (minimum Level 4 Diploma status and ideally working towards Chartered)
• Proven degree of success in a managerial role and you are comfortable managing and developing people in an Advisory environment
• Able to build great relationships with all members of the team and you communicate effectively, both with positive and negative messages
• You are a natural leader who leads by example and motivates others to develop and achieve
• You are effective in your own operational working style, working a step ahead of the team you manage
• You are used to reaching ambitious personal goals and being alert to commercial opportunities in your previous roles
• You have excellent attention to detail and are a stickler for compliance
• You have proven recruitment experience and have built a team of high calibre individuals before
• You enjoy working in a positive and driven working environment with a team of colleagues all working towards achievable key performance indicators
• Due to the flexible nature of this role you are likely to spend several days a week with your team of Advisors and realistically you can expect to be working remotely on these days if you prefer. We have a weekly team meeting in one of our offices near Derby which you will need to attend.
