Job Description

Pitlochry Dam Visitor Centre opened its doors in January 2017 and since then has welcomed almost 500,000 visitors to its year-round, free to enter, exhibition and café. Situated on the banks of Loch Faskally and overlooking the iconic hydro dam and power station the Centre boasts two exhibition areas which outline the unique history of hydro-electricity and showcases the social, environmental and engineering impacts of bringing power to the Highlands.

Responsibilities:

• We are looking for a team player who will ensure the smooth running of the Cafe. You’ll oversee the-day-day supervision of the Cafe team, ensuring a world-class service is delivered to our customers at all times.
• You’ll be comfortable working as part of a collaborative and enthusiastic team, as well as on your own initiative without supervision.
• In this role, you’ll undertake a range of tasks from serving our customers, dealing with money and ensuring company policies, procedures and codes of practice are upheld at all times

Requirements:

• Enthusiasm, and a genuine willingness to go above and beyond to support the team and provide a fantastic customer service.
• Experience of supervising others, working within a café environment and food hygiene certificates
• First Aid, experience of using a variety of catering and cleaning equipment would be an advantage
• Basic understanding of word, excel and general internet access
