Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Solution Architect to join our Architecture team in Group IT on a fixed term contract of 12 months. In this role, you’ll use your technical expertise to support the implementation of commercial solutions across differing domains including, applications, integration, data and infrastructure.You’ll be supported by our team of Enterprise and Solution Architects through coaching and mentoring and will have the opportunity to learn through dedicated training which will be tailored to you.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Architectural lead on projects, providing technical guidance and oversight to project teams across a broad range of technologies, ensuring adherence to defined architectural principles, standards, strategies and roadmaps
• Working on RFP’s alongside Enterprise Architects, to select the right solutions in line with the IT strategy/roadmaps.
• Understand both functional and non-functional requirements, and ensure they are built into solution design and meet the business need

Requirements:

• An individual with experience of supporting a range of complex technical activities and ability to demonstrate technical detailed analysis.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across a wide range of people with the ability to collaborate with and influence senior colleagues from across the organisation, as well as challenge as appropriate
• To articulate technology in business language to aid understanding of concepts and recommendations (presenting complex ideas in a simple way)
