Job Description

To do this, an expertise developing electronics in a regulated industry is required. Couple that with the ability to support others through the technical requirements to produce prototypes and validated designs.

Beyond the hands on development of our AWD products and components there is a requirement to manage and partner with external vendors as electronic components and systems are design and developed. The efforts and partnerships internally and externally, will help validate and verify the design as the design history file is built and evidence is detailed and proved.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for the Research and Development Electrical Design of new product developments
• Own the technical risks in New Product Delivery projects, to ensure that appropriate mitigations are identified and the Project Plan has an appropriate balance of pace and risk
• Responsible for coaching and development of junior engineers

Requirements:

• Minimum of five (5) years relevant new product development, requirements management, risk management, verification & validation, and technical leadership experience within a regulated industry required.
• Experience of the fundamentals of electrical and software engineering, which enables them to take a multi-disciplinary approach to product design in Medical Devices
• Ideally, experience in IPC standards and EMC mitigation methodologies
• Ideally, technical experience with the development of complex medical devices or other highly regulated product, likely to comprise of electrical, mechanical and software elements.
• Ideally experience in working alongside strategic design partners ensuring the project requirements and standards are met.
