Position Title: Senior Content Designer

Job Description:

• You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team being involved in all phases of the agile product lifecycle;
• Collaborating with others in the team, you will identify user needs, write and map user stories, and translate these into content;
• You’ll create, iterate, monitor and manage user-centered content using analytics, user feedback, user research and other sources of information;
• You’ll prototype different content concepts, building in an appropriate medium be this paper or code
• You’ll coach and teach colleagues across the directorate on the benefits of content design, and lead the formulation of appropriate approaches or strategies to have the most impact
• You’ll contribute to the content community at MHCLG, supporting other Content Designers through content crits and proofing content for the department, as well as sharing knowledge on content creation tools, user-centered design practices and current trends in content design.

Requirements:

• Lead the work on the digitalisation of the elections claims process.
• Work closely with the Alpha and Beta teams to ensure that implementation progresses smoothly and without delays.
• Support replatforming of the CMPCC site.
• Provide ongoing product ownership to the Elections Claims Unit and CMPCC, ensuring that the systems operate as intended post implementation.
• Work with the team to identify and deliver enhancements to both services.
• Identify and implement changes to improve the efficiency and performance of both services.
• Create, manage and update the product roadmaps on an on-going basis
