Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate user acceptance testing of system changes and support projects through to successful delivery, implementation, and operation against defined acceptance criteria.
• Create test scenarios, scripts and plans ensuring both positive and negative scenarios are captured, and are based on the requirements definitions.
• Review solution documentation to develop knowledge of the system under test. Ensuring it is too a standard where test scripts can be executed to the required standards.
• Raise issues in accordance to the product defect lifecycle.
• Perform root cause analysis on issues found during test execution.
• Where issues in test are found suggest solutions to re-test or further test definition required to ensure robust testing of functionality.
• Define and prepare test data to support planned UAT activities.
• Provide technical teams with full explanation and documentation of defects found to support debugging and defect resolution.
• Monitor and chase defect resolution against agreed timescales ensuring any issues in resolution are escalated to the HR Systems Testing Lead.
• Perform regression tests to ensure new functionality does not impacted on pre-defined critical production activity.
• Provide updates on test results to relevant stakeholders, including documentation in relevant management systems (DevOps).
• Fully participate in the agile scrum meetings, retrospectives, and ceremonies, by representing test function.
• Work to defined definition of done (DoD) within sprint.
• Support execution of test scenarios for other test phases (e.g. SIT, SAT) including script execution and data setup.
• Update any documentation and test scripts as product requirements change.
• Work with business process owners and technical teams to ensure the quality of delivered solutions meets our desired colleague experience.
• In parallel with testing responsibilities ensure that relevant reporting and tracking of testing status are completed.

Requirements:

• Awareness of ways of working such as Agile, Waterfall.
• Track record of successful project completion working in a team.
• Ability to multi-task and manage workload.
• Self-driven, even when working with ambiguity.
• Good time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
• Expert in HR processes and the myHR product.
