Position Title: Roadwork Permits

Job Description:
The Permits Officer is responsible for processing of request to access the road network, including assessments within the predefine timeframes and standards, considering the planned events scheduled within the transport network and impact of individual and cumulative requests of road access. This role contributes to advice to internal and external stakeholders, including transport operators, project agencies, government departments and a varied range of functional divisions.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to apply technical knowledge of network operations to the assessment of event and all road-access permit applications.
- Ability to undertake the consent process in relation to standard non-roads events/roadworks.
- Good written and verbal communication skills including the ability to liaise with customers, stakeholders and service providers.
- An ability to work collaboratively with others to deliver outputs in a timely manner.
- Ability to demonstrate the kind of thinking and willingness to achieve win-win outcomes.
- Able to interpret policies, procedures and legislation and effectively communicate this to customers and stakeholders.
