Job Description:

We are recruiting for an Assistant Merchandiser to join our Merchandising team in Menswear. Based at our Pep&Co Head Office in Watford, the role has a flexible working location, allowing you to work from home and the office.

As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will report to our Senior Merchandiser and be involved with supporting the Merchandiser with sales analysis, forecasting, ownership of stock and intake management for Menswear clothing across all UK stores.

As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will be working closely with the wider merchandising and buying team to ensure stock targets are achieved and availability is managed effectively to deliver the company sales and stock budgets.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying any potential issues around stock availability and deliveries into warehouse and store and cultivating relationships with suppliers to reduce this risk
• Preparing and presenting category and product sales performance for weekly trade meetings
• Monitoring of the Weekly Sales and Stock Intake plan (WSSI) tools to ensure it reflects the most accurate data, as well as forecasting WSSI following the release of actual performance data
• Deputising for Junior Merchandiser when required
• Responsible for managing several categories within Menswear, working with several suppliers
• Critical path management of your category with support from the Merchandising Admin Assistant and Buying team
• Ensuring the flow of inbound and outbound stock replenishment is managed effectively
• Working closing with the Merchandiser to deliver against top line planning principles, including phasing, category mixes and option counts

Requirements:

• Intermediate Excel Skills – advanced is desirable
• Previous experience within fashion retail
• Prior knowledge of WSSI (weekly Stock & Sales Inventory)
• A fashion degree or similar would be desirable
• Proven analytical skills with excellent communication, both written and verbal.
• A minimum of 18 months of Merchandising experience at either an Assistant Merchandiser or at
• Merchandising Administration Assistant level
