Position Title: Anti-Money Laundering Analyst

Job Description
To support POL’s compliance with relevant regulatory, legal requirements and the minimum control standards as set out in the suite of Financial Crime Policies, by carrying out Suspicious Activity review and data entry work, monitoring bureau de change transaction activity and administration.
Responsibilities:
- Data entry for Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) received from the Network into appropriate databases ensuring all relevant information has been captured and review of SARs received to determine whether or not they should be disclosed
- Disclosure of reports to National Crime Agency (NCA) using the SARs-online system
- Complete Bureau de Change transaction monitoring and non-conformance investigations ensuring Post Office obligations under the Money Laundering Regulations are met, and that appropriate intervention activity is undertaken
- Resolve all incoming issues allocated and take appropriate action
- Identify and escalate risks and issues to ensure effective corrective action is undertaken
- Liaising with key stakeholders including the Network Support, Security Intelligence Team, Branch Support Team, Area Managers and Grapevine to ensure effective deployment of anti-money laundering controls
- Input to the production of regular MI to inform senior management on compliance levels
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (particularly Office 365, Excel, Word, Dynamics and PowerPoint), and the SharePoint system, plus some knowledge of Business Objects
- Good communication/interpersonal skills – written, verbal and excellent telephone manner with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Numeric – ability to understand and interpret figures
- Discretion dealing with sensitive and confidential work – Security Clearance required for role
