Position Title: Dedicated Decision Maker

Job Description:

As a Dedicated Decision Maker, through flexible and committed team working, you will be providing a high quality service to members of the community, the force, other forces, agencies and partners. You will review crime and non-crime reports to ensure they adhere to Home Office Counting Rules (HOCR) and National Crime Recording Standards (NCRS), using your own initiative to identify any issues and reporting these to the Investigation Management Unit Manager.

Responsibilities:

• To support programmes and projects in getting the best out of assurance assessments by championing the benefits, providing critical challenge, and taking the lead to share and embed emergent lessons within projects across the Met.
• To establish and manage the MPS Programme project assurance, developing our maturity, establishing a network of reviewers across the organisation.
• To promote best practices and consistent standards, proportionate to the needs of the projects and programmes in the Met.
• To drive innovation, introducing latest ideas and learnings from professional bodies and academic research in order to build capability.
• To lead a team to put the right environment in place to help the organisation plan for, initiate, and adapt to the changes it faces in a way that engages with stakeholders and our people.
• To ensure continuous improvement, developing and sharing best practice processes, tools and methodologies; benchmarked against industry standards.

Requirements:

• Working with a stakeholder engagement team, or a connected area in a large and complex organisation
• Experience of contributing to a collaborative culture team culture and an environment of continuous learning
• Experience of influencing, negotiating with, and providing challenge to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders
