Responsibilities:

• An exciting, varied, and challenging opportunity has arisen for the role of Operational Tax Manager within the Operational Tax Business Support team.
• This role will provide you with fantastic opportunities to flourish and develop as the team delivers critical support to the business during a period of exciting change when operational tax impacts need to be clearly understood and managed.
• Working with your colleagues within the Business Support team and also the Operational Tax Oversight & Assurance team you will need to draw on strong operational tax technical knowledge to support a range of business partners in delivering operational tax compliance through the provision of robust consultancy with a particular focus on providing first line support to Standard Life Assurance Limited, part of Phoenix Group.
• The role may also require some external interaction with industry colleagues and bodies: e.g. ABI, and also directly with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).
  

Requirements:

• Operational Tax knowledge and practical experience in respect of Pension and Life products, and their administration in line with the underlying legislation/regulations.
• Proven track record in providing accurate, reliable and pragmatic consultancy support to a wide range of internal stakeholders
• Ability to work to tight timescales, balancing conflicting demands whilst maintaining professional standards.
• Experience of working with HMRC/HMT and other appropriate fiscal authorities and collaboratively amongst peers at Industry level is desirable.
