We deliver high-quality services in a variety of settings including people’s own homes, care homes, day centres, schools, GP surgeries and health centres, as well as the Newmarket Community Hospital inpatient unit and clinics, and our main site, the West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds.

Responsibilities:

• This exciting new role will be vital in ensuring that WSFT connects with the people we serve in delivering our vision and clinical priorities and will work with a range of patient, public, voluntary and community groups.
• The post holder will be responsible for embedding coproduction and public involvement throughout the organisation’s processes alongside the Patient Experience Manager and Head of Patient Experience, including developing co-produced quality improvement projects across the Trust.
• The Patient Experience Team is responsible for ensuring that feedback gained from a number of sources is used to improve the experience of patients and their loved ones.
• Through feedback and effective engagement, this ensures that service users contribute to decisions about changes and developments at the Trust.

Requirements:

• Ability to develop strong working relationships, internally and externally
• Excellent knowledge of patient engagement principles
• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of communications and public relations
• Excellent organisational skills
