Job Description

The purpose of the role is to provide effective assistance to the Operations Team as an Administrator. You will support in the co-ordination of data and reporting requirements for our clients along with supporting the consultancy and project management offices with general administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

• Take a ‘test and learn’ approach to all content creation, making sure we’re optimising our performance all the time
• Measure success of all social media activity to demonstrate the value it drives within our wider marketing activity
• Implement a social media strategy that helps put us on the map as the ‘go-to’ EV leasing company in the UK, focusing on driving brand awareness and
• engagement
• Keep on top of latest developments e.g. new platforms, algorithm updates and tools that could benefit us, sharing best practices with our team
• Come up with creative ideas for social content yourself, while working alongside our designer to craft thumb-stopping creative that gets our brand message
• across loud and clear
• Listen and react to segmented groups of customers, prospects, influencers and competitors
• Identify trends and insights across social platforms to make sure we’re poised to capitalise on any reactive opportunities
• Define the role each social channel should play in driving growth for Octopus Electric Vehicles
• Write all copy for social activity, making sure our brand personality comes across in every single post (we don’t have a copywriter so this is crucial)
• Monitor engagement and respond to all conversations with our social community

Requirements:

• Proven track record of growing and maintaining a loyal following by generating unique and relevant content
• A passion for electric vehicles and renewable energy
• Creative thinking – working with the whole Octopus Electric Vehicles team to find exciting and relevant content ideas to feed into our social content
• Comfortable making data driving decisions as a result of performance
• Experience in determining KPIs and reporting on the success of social media activity and confidence in showcasing measurable results
• Consumer awareness – quick to understand our audience including what they want to hear from us and will engage with on our social channels
• Ability to work autonomously to create a social media content plan that delivers against our wider marketing strategy
• Strong analytical knowledge enabling you to turn data and trends from across our business into engaging content
• Great communication skills and the ability to work as well as a team, including briefing our design team and collaborating with the rest of the marketing and
• PR team
• Excellent written communication – you need to take in-depth subjects and distil them into a pithy Tweets that get our key messages across clearly
• Demonstrable experience driving brand awareness and engagement through social channels, ideally 1-2 years in a B2B company
