Position Title: Bank Mammographer

Job Description:
Our small Radiology Department, with its state of the art technology, enjoys a friendly, dedicated and multi-disciplinary team which is committed to delivering high quality diagnostic imaging, through a range of radiographic procedures.
As a Mammographer you will be part of a team providing high-quality Mammography services currently on Tuesdays and Thursdays using a GE Senographe DS unit. Working as part of the diagnostic imaging team and referring clinicians, your job will be to deliver high quality, patient centred imaging services and support Breast one-stop clinics.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with stock control and effective utilisation of resources.
- Assist with routine QA of Mammographic equipment.
- Provide cover and support for other Mammographers.
- Deliver a high quality diagnostic imaging service for Mammography within the department.
- Support one stop breast clinics and health screening.
- Assist with departmental audits where required.
Requirements:
- The ability to work quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail
- Current HCPC registration
- Excellent communication and team working abilities
- Delivery of a high quality diagnostic imaging service for a very varied caseload – within mammography.
- DCR or BSc degree in diagnostic radiography
- Experience of working in mammography
- A caring nature and the ability to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy.
- Flexibility and adaptability
- PgD certificate in mammography
