Job Description:

NBT R&I’s goal is to deliver meaningful research for our whole population and to achieve this we must first understand the current landscape and what true inclusion would look like, develop, and deliver a roadmap to full integration of all people regardless of demographic or characteristic. This post and project is aimed at achieving the first three elements.

Responsibilities:

• Create links and collaborations with the NBT EDI group and where appropriate external groups
• Map NBT’s current social diversity in terms of ethnicity; ability and protected characteristics
• Create links and a collaborations network with UHBW, AWP and WoECRN to share learning,
• build and challenge consensus, and develop a lessons learned strategy
• Map NBT’s current research diversity

Requirements:

• Individually, or with the other informal collaborators, produce a report on the current state, and progress through the year
• Undertake training with the research infrastructure to understand their concerns and barriers to
• recruiting patients with protected characteristics
• Identify barriers to research experienced by groups with protected characteristics
