Job Description

At National Grid Electricity System Operator (ESO) we’re aiming to operate a zero-carbon electricity system for Great Britain by 2025. This means using wind, solar and hydropower – without relying on any carbon-based generators to balance the grid.

Responsibilities:

• You’ll be leading the way in our business by developing and delivering the strategy around wellbeing services, building our policies, standards, and procedures within our business.
• Whilst these will of course meet all legislative requirements we’re looking for an individual to go beyond that in building something which will have a positive impact on the employee experience.
• You’ll have the support of internal and external stakeholders as you improve the way H&W is addressed within our business.

Requirements:

• Proactivity is important for success in this position, and you understand that even by creating the direction for H&W within the organisation,
• you will be able to interpret emerging requirements which could have an impact on the business and react accordingly.
• To help you do this, you’ll be developing and maintaining a range of measures to help inform our performance in managing H&W.
