Job Description

If you have excellent communication skills with a creative and practical approach to problem solving and want to help the people of west Norfolk resolve their housing problems, we need you to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• You will respond to enquiries from people in often complex and difficult situations providing them with high quality housing advice that will help them to access the services they need to prevent homelessness.
• You will Investigate and assess people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness in accordance with the relevant legislation.
• You will examine and report on factors which lead to housing needs and assist with innovative solutions to the housing problems facing people today.

Requirements:

• You must have experience in a housing or related setting with a good working knowledge of welfare benefits and eligibility criteria for social care.
• You will have experience of working with the public in particular vulnerable people and have a clear understanding of equality issues.
