Position Title: Supplier Relationship Manager

Job Description:
We are the Met Office. The UK national meteorological service. We provide critical weather services and world-leading climate science, helping people make better decisions to stay safe and thrive.
The UK Government has invested heavily in Met Office IT, with £1.2B for a new supercomputer capability that will help us to increase and improve our climate predictions and weather forecasting capabilities, but IT is only as good as the teams that can exploit it.
The Technology Directorate is looking for a Supplier Relationship Manager to help manage our engagement with chosen external partner organisations and maximise our delivery capability.
Requirements:
- Strong management skills (e.g. setting vision, planning, prioritising, making decisions)
- Evidence of reviewing working practices and processes and implementing continual improvement of them.
- Evidence of successfully monitoring and performance managing Supplier Relationships and contracts to meet organisational goals and deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating proven ability to build trust and influence with internal stakeholders and with suppliers.
