Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant this is a fantastic opportunity at a fast paced FTSE 100 retailer in a newly created role to expand current team capabilities and provide cover across the department. The role will cover a broad range of duties

Responsibilities

• Month end journals, prepayments and Accruals for assigned stores down to store contribution.
• Finance department link with IT. Ensure all costs are captured accurately within the monthly management accounts and act as first point of contact within the department for all queries.
• Responsibility for 2 small non-retail companies consolidated into group. This includes both purchase and sales ledger as well as quarterly management accounts.
• Stock reconciliations – working closely with various departments across the business to ensure stock is accurately recorded and all discrepancies are investigated.

Requirements:

• Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant looking for a broad role within a fast paced finance department.
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience of managing relationships with internal stakeholders
• Retail experience would be advantageous
