Job Description:

The aim of our team is to provide opportunity for people who may have a learning disability some individuals may have complex needs and others may have some physical needs. You will be given training to undertake manual handling tasks and assisting people with personal /intimate care, pushing people in wheelchair, implementing health programmes and escorting on transport. At our service we encourage individuals to do new things, achieve personal goals and be part of our local community. We provide adults various opportunity to enhance their life skills and learn new skills.

Responsibilities:

• To support the delivery of the Inspiring Libraries Strategy, by actively promoting and encouraging all library staff to promote the library to customers, partners and community organisations, and contribute to the ambition of attracting more visitors through participation in outreach and promotional activities in the community, and via partnership working with relevant organisations and community groups to support the delivery of the Inspiring Libraries 10 year strategy.
• To promote the library service to the wider community, and to actively engage with local partnerships and organisations.
• To undertake the role of site manager at the library with responsibility for providing a library service to the community and for the day-to-day management and supervision of its operation.
• To act as the face of the library service in the community and lead and motivate the library team to deliver and achieve service objectives.
• As a member of the West Area Management team, take responsibility for the development and delivery of service provision within the Area.

Requirements:

• Strong ability to sort, manipulate and tell a story with data
• Have 8+ years of overall experience
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to figure out the root cause of a problem, create action plans, formulate strategy and drive performance
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
• Ability to sell a business case to any layer of the business
• Ability to influence others: selling concepts, visions and methodology
