Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Academy team as a Player Care Manager. In this varied role, you will be the strategic lead for all Player Care matters and offer safeguarding support across all age groups at the Academy together with being involved in providing post 19 Education Programmes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead on player care matters
• Manage the House Parent scheme in line with industry best practise and local authority standards.
• Support the welfare, wellbeing, and mental health of LFC Academy players in line with industry best practice.
• Maintain effective links with national bodies that have an overview of young people`s welfare.
• Support the day-to-day management of safeguarding at the Academy.
• Liaison with parents/guardians on all welfare and player care issues for all age groups.
• Liaison with Academy Senior staff and press department on all potential PR matters.
• Manage any citizenship or community engagement activities for post 19 age groups.
• Enhance the Academy`s life skills development programme, involved in organising relevant workshops/awareness weeks.
• Support all players upon release and assist in the transition of players to other clubs, employment, education, or training.
• Communicate with and track the movement of players following their release from the Academy.
• Provide player care support to loan players where appropriate.

Requirements:

• Ideally, you will have experience of elite sport and an understand GDPR and its practical application. You`ll be aware of the requirements and standards required for sports tournaments and tours. You will also have an awareness of mental health.
