Position Title: Senior Medical Secretary (Gynaecology)

Job Description:
We have a brilliant opportunity for a Senior Medical Secretary to join The Lister Hospital. You will provide a comprehensive range of secretarial and administrative support to a very busy Gynaecology Consultant.
Responsibilities:
- Use hospital computer system to register/obtain client and patient information, as well as external third party software (such as DGL Practice Manager) as per the Consultants’ requirements
- To arrange, schedule, and follow-through on all appointments, liaising with patients, hospital staff and external departments in all phases of this process
- To directly support the Practice Manager in implementation and follow-through of various work assignments amongst staff members, including clinic support, medical and financial correspondence, filing and telephone enquiries
- To assist with all other duties within the medical secretariat as required on a daily basis. This may include audit data input, secretarial typing, pulling notes, reception duties, filing and accounts management and covering for sickness/annual leave absence
- Arrange meetings and prepare minutes if necessary
Requirements:
- Medical terminology course
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous medical secretary experience is essential
- Computer literate
