An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, proactive and highly motivated health and safety advisor to join our Trading Compliance team in this fast-paced, quality focussed retail environment. Responsibilities:

• Negotiate Data Processing Agreements with suppliers and ensure all follow up audits are complete inline with our internal requirements including conducting onsite visits
• To monitor, report and where appropriate investigate data protection incidents
• Support the team to ensure all Data Subject Rights are processed in line with regulatory timeframes
• Ensure all of our internal policies and guidelines are adhered too by meeting or exceeding our internal international standards
• Work with new projects or initiatives to embed privacy design principles by providing pragmatic and risk based advice
• Assist in the management of an open, honest and constructive relationship with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) which includes determining when incidents
• should be notified to the ICO or impacted data subjects, responding to requests to review complaints or assessment, assisting with regulatory investigations and ensuring that
• our relationship with the regulator continues to strengthen.
• Support all colleagues to maintain our Records of Processing Activities
• Take responsibility for the day to day management of the team and its workload
• Take up the position of Deputy Data Protection Officer
• Build strong collaborative working relationships with all relevant stakeholders across Lidl GB and our international colleagues
• Regularly travel to our Regional Distributions Centres to conduct audits and build working relationships with our regional colleagues
• Keep up to date with changes in data protection law and regulations
• Continue our established Data Protection awareness campaigns and strengthen our internal guidance to support our colleagues

Requirements:

• Excellent organisation skills with a keen eye for detail
• Working with OneTrust would be desirable but not essential
• German language, desirable but not essential
• Strong computer skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Willingness to travel with the occasional overnight stay visiting our Regional Distribution Centres and Stores
• Must be a data protection Subject Matter Expert with extensive experience of advising and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience of presenting to senior management
• The ability to manage multiple complex tasks concurrently within tight deadlines
• Line management experience is essential in a data protection environment
