Job Description

This fantastic Job opportunity involves working in our Income Management Team within the Housing Division. The Income Management Officer is responsible for maximising the rental income for the authority by collecting rent, minimising rent arrears, and supporting customers to help sustain their Council tenancies.

Responsibilities:

Variety is what to expect. Duties will cover the full range of environmental protection subject areas including the undertaking of inspections, surveys and accurate assessments of premises; investigations and environmental monitoring to establish the need for action as well as assessment and interpretation of legislation and technical guidance and its application.  You will enforce noise and pollution control legislation through the provision of advice and information, service of notices, default works and/or legal proceedings and giving evidence in court. You will also play a key role in assessing the environmental aspects of planning and licensing consultations.

Requirements:

You will have obtained a degree or direct equivalent (e.g. NVQ) in an Environmental Science based subject, or previous experience in a similar role or authority. You will confidently possess technical experience and knowledge of pollution control matters including noise control, contaminated land investigation, assessment and/or inspection and/or enforcement of environmental permitting processes.
