Position Title:Legal Support Attorney

Location:Andy Mireles Juvenile Probation Center – 301 E. Mitchell San Antonio, TX

Job Description:

Drafts any documents associated with Department contracts; Designs and conducts performance audits on all Departmental contracts; monitors and ensures all Department contracts are compliant with contract requirements; Analyzes and reports data relating to all Department contracts; Drafts responses to Public Information Act inquires; Assists and provides support with grants for the Department Drafts the Department’s Requests for Proposals (RFP) and assists with the process associated with RFP selection for contracts; Responsible for conducting Department needs analysis for contracts;; Researches legal issues and provides legal support for the department;; Drafts legal documents, responses and memoranda for the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafts contracts, letters of agreement, contract amendments, memoranda of understanding and any support documents associated with contract for the Department
  • Monitors and ensures all Department contracts are compliant with contract requirements
  • May represent the Department on committees relating to grants and contracts
  • Drafts the Department’s Requests for Proposals (RFP) and assists with the process associated with
  • Performs related duties as assigned
  • Responsible for drafting appropriate responses to inquiries made through the Public Information Act
  • RFP selection for contracts
  • Drafts legal documents, responses and memoranda for the department
  • May present data related to Departmental grants and contracts
  • Researches legal issues and provides legal support for the department
  • Assists and provides support with the full life cycle process for grants for the Department
  • Designs and conducts performance audits on all Departmental contracts
  • Analyzes and reports data relating to compliance, reviews, audits, adjustment request for all
  • Department contracts
  • Responsible for conducting Department needs analysis for contracts
