Job Description:

We are looking to appoint one permanent Band 6 Senior Employee Relations Advisor to an exciting role in this busy, specialist ER team at a major London hospital. The Trust, Workforce Directorate and ER team are transforming how they operate to provide a first-class service to our patients and service users. These posts are key in taking the ER team to the next stage on that journey.

Responsibilities:

• Coordination and oversight of screening and vaccination delivery.
• Clinical escalations of clinical supervisors, clinical assessors and vaccination staff.
• Provision of adequate leadership and support to all staff and citizens.
• Clinical review of patient safety conditions and identification of potential clinical risks and concerns.
• Handle difficult conversations (sensitive, language barriers, hostile atmosphere) and convert complex technical information into easily to understand communication.
• Ensuring the effective delivery of care including undertaking specialist procedure, providing specialist advice, structured education and ongoing support to the site staff and the patients.

Requirements:

• Self-motivated and able to deliver at pace
• Excellent working knowledge of Employment Law and HR best practice
• A keen interest and previous experience in HR policy writing and development
• Able to display and use initiative and results orientated
• CIPD Level 5 membership
• Good working knowledge of WRES/WDES, Just Culture principles
• Ability to persuade others of point of view where there may be barriers and construct a convincing case
• Subject matter expert on employee relations best practice models
• Experience of working in partnership in a unionised environment and building relationships with
• Staff Side representatives
• Excellent attention to detail
