Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a (1 WTE) Consultant Dermatologist to join our team providing high-quality dermatological care. The successful applicant will join a team of six consultants, supported by a team of dermatology nurses, providing a comprehensive dermatology service. The team works closely with the Bromley Intermediate Dermatology Service, currently delivered by three experienced GPwERs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide training, advice and support for reflective practice which meets the learning needs of staff throughout services who support people with cancer at King’s
• Collaborate with colleagues with links to cancer specific MDMs in the hospital as well as rehabilitation services in secondary and primary care settings
• Provide timely access to effective psychological therapy tailored to the needs of patients throughout and following their cancer treatment journey
• Maintain contacts with the community and pathways of referrals and care to ensure patients receive care in the most socially acceptable and supportive environment to them

Requirements:

• Act as a specialist practitioner and role model and manage the day-to-day pharmaceutical care of patients in the speciality
• Attend daily consultant ward rounds in specific rotations
• Respond to clinical queries both internally and externally
• Produce monthly financial and activity reports including monitoring of cost savings initiatives
• Conduct research and audit projects
• Participate in activities such as risk management, clinical guideline development and staff training.
