Position Title: Waste Operative LGV Driver Loader

Job Description

You are required to hold a full Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC card with at least 2 years remaining on it), training to retain this card will be ongoing and provided by ECC with a relevant payment for undertaking the training.

Responsibilities:

• As a driver / loader you with have the responsibility of the safety of the crew and members of the public on a daily basis.
• This is an all-weather role and full PPE will be supplied.
• Training to retain the CPC card will be ongoing and provided by ECC with a relevant payment for undertaking the training.
• You will benefit from full Local Government terms of employment including pension contributions.
• You will start with 22 days paid leave a year (increasing in line with years of service).
• You will have access to refreshment facilities, showers / toilet facilities at the beginning, middle and end of the working shift
• You will receive full training as required

• To help with the Council’s commitments to move towards Net Zero by 2030 we are looking at innovative ways to achieve this in our team, to add to our expanding fleet of electric vehicles we are updating our current fleet of diesel refuse collection vehicles to electric refuse collection vehicles.
