Job Description

The Safeguarding Adults Service is looking to recruit a third Advanced Practitioner to help lead and deliver frontline practice.  This new role is being introduced to further develop relationships with social care providers and to work with multi-agency partners across the district.  The role will focus on preventative activities and operate closely with the Multi-Agency Organisational Safeguarding Enquiry (OSE) process.

Responsibilities:

• We are looking for someone passionate about social work and who holds the belief that promoting rights underpins good practice.
• Suitable candidates will understand The Human Rights Act 1998 and its impact on work with adults.
• Applicants will be able to evidence how they apply safeguarding principles as well as demonstrate approaches to practice that enable people who are experiencing, or who are at risk of, abuse or neglect to maintain self-determination.
• Significant experience of applying the Mental Capacity Act 2005 will be essential.

Requirements:

• As Advanced Practitioner with the Safeguarding Adults Service you will model excellent practice and be a leading expert resource for Newly Qualified Social Workers, Social Workers and Experienced Social Workers within the Safeguarding Adults Service.
•   You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to build successful working relationships with all who come into contact with the service.
