Responsibilities:

• Influencing senior management to drive and embed a controls culture whereby business stakeholders lead the controls agenda, seeking support and insight
• Influencing and supporting the design of control frameworks to sustain and strengthen control environment, effectively manage risk, and meet relevant regulatory requirements
• Providing input to and challenge on the design and implementation of Policies, Standards, controls, procedures and tools to effectively manage risk
• Overseeing and supporting effective business implementation of the Barclays Controls Framework (BCF), and driving business ownership and delivery of identified actions
• Leading provision of insight and controls expertise to business stakeholders
• Providing controls expertise and input to Regulatory updates and engagements
• Partnering with Risk and Audit on common areas of interest to provide an enriched controls advisory service
• Challenging on complex risk assessment activities, including RCSA (Risk & Controls Self-Assessment) and CERPA (Control Environment & Risk Profile Assessment)

Requirements:

• Extensive proven experience in Operational Risk and Controls
• Experience in working on the design and implementation of controls improvement initiatives
• Practical experience of Risk and Control governance activities including Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), other risk and control environment assessments and Control For a
• Experience of reviewing policies & standards, preparing gap analyses and delivering actions to complete
