Overview

Position Title: Marketing Manager, Platforms & Ecosystems

Company: Google

Location: Portsmouth, UK

Job Description:

Whether you’re on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product’s journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you’ll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

As a Marketing Manager, you will drive partner marketing strategies and campaigns to meet our marketing goals, growing Android business-to-business (B2B) adoption. You’ll have experience with partner business models and drive planning, management and execution of co-marketing initiatives with Google’s biggest partners. You have outstanding communication, organizational, and presentation skills as well as a team mindset. You will be in charge of designing, planning and executing outbound marketing activities, including regional events, email campaigns and both partner and customer engagement programs, to help connect users and customers to our products and technologies across EMEA. As a member of the team, you will work closely with B2B and business-to-consumer (B2C) Marketing teams, Partnerships, Product, Engineering and Customer Success teams to manage strategic, cross-functional programs for channel and direct outreach. Your organizational skills, project management skills and creative flair all find their place in this role. This position is part time consisting of three days a week.

Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google’s products solve the world’s problems–from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can–changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop scalable partner marketing programs and tools, such as demand generation programs and tools, marketing best practice toolkits, internal and external case studies.
  • Develop and drive execution of co-marketing programs with OEMs, Resellers and Service Providers.
  • Work with both product marketing and partner managers to ensure that the Android Enterprise message and value proposition is being successfully amplified through partners.
  • Own annual marketing plan for outbound activities in EMEA region, including Google-led, partner-led and third-party offline and online events, email campaigns and customer engagement programs.

Requirements:

  • Partner marketing experience with OEMs, device resellers or service providers.
  • Demonstrated ability to design marketing strategy and full funnel integrated marketing campaigns, including above and below the line marketing, retail, and partner media.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with a variety of teams and job functions, including business development, product management, brand marketing, and external partner teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Business-to-business partner management experience.
  • Highly organized, with experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and German.
  • Excellent project management skills and experience (e.g., managing external creative agencies and event vendors).
