Position Title: Senior Regional Facilities Manager UK and Global Support

Job Description

The Senior Facilities Manager, UK and Global Support provides leadership and technical advice/assurance across the UK Estate and supports the Global Facilities Manager in all aspects of the delivery of professional services internationally across the entire British Council global estate. The role will be the strategic lead and have delegated accountability for the operational delivery of FM services to the British Council UK.

Responsibilities:

  • This role leads the delivery of internal and external FM services across the UK Estate, currently 6 premises, there will be a significant international element as GE will be supporting international Facilities Management efforts outside of the UK.
  • The role of the Global Estates function is to ensure that the British Council estate properly projects the British Council brand and values, works hard for the business and provides a modern, welcoming and functional place in which to work and do business.
  • The role works with other specialist teams within the Global Estates function (Estate Strategy, Capital Projects, Transaction Management and Major Projects).

Requirements:

  • Lead change in their area of specialism/matrix across the global estate – create compelling vision, manage stakeholders, manage risks and dependencies, robust plan, embed changes, achieve benefits, etc.
  • Set high standards and reflect high class commercial practice in the work of the team, ensuring that the GE team strives to achieve the right business outcomes.
  • Work with other members of the GE team to develop global standard business processes.
