Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Schemes Advisor to join our BBC’s Early Careers and Staff Apprenticeship team on a 12-month FTC, supporting schemes and ensuring that apprentices are highly trained and motivated and complete successfully all elements of their training programme, in the classroom and in the workplace.

Responsibilities:

• You’ll act as the point of contact for BBC line managers who have a query about a trainee or apprentice, and use your problem solving skills.
• As a Schemes Advisor you will be managing the logistical and administrative tasks associated with schemes delivery and on-boarding activity including operating systems (e.g. SAP) and providing financial support.
• You’ll help BBC Resourcing colleagues with talent attraction, recruitment and assessment centres, and for pre-employment schemes act as the first point of contact/problem solver for learners pastoral support and advice.
• You will manage learning records and progress reports for all apprentices and trainees including documenting any performance concerns, and assist the relevant Early Careers and Staff Apprenticeship Specialist to manage schemes learning and placements, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• You’ll have great project management/organisational skills (e.g. planning, organising, stakeholder management, budgeting, time management, performance reporting), and will be able to manage logistical, administrative systems (e.g. SAP) and finance support systems.
• We are looking for someone with a strong judgement in terms of knowing when to deal with issues and when to refer up, who is also able to use own initiative to problem solve.
• You can prioritise and complete tasks when faced with tight deadlines, and are a competent influencer and networker, who is able to communicate concisely and with assurance to different audiences – both verbally and in writing.
