Responsibilities:

Liverpool is a city of opportunity and the City Council is looking to recruit a Private Sector Liaison Officer to be part of its Housing Options Service within Adult Services and Health. The Service works with people in housing need and those who are potentially homeless to identify their housing and support needs. We work proactively with Council colleagues and external partners in order to provide tailored advice and assistance in order to achieve appropriate solutions for service users. The main role of this post is to effectively oversee all aspects of re-housing customers who are, or who are threatened with, homelessness with an emphasis on securing private rented sector properties.

Requirements:

We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in a customer focused department.  You will have a proven track record in building and sustaining good relations and offering great customer service.  The successful candidate will coordinate the Private Sector Offer policy and scheme. This will include developing and maintaining effective working relationships with private landlords and managing agents to help homeless households secure and maintain accommodation in the private rented sector.
