Position Title: Junior Product/Packaging Designer

Job Description

The Product/Packaging Designer is responsible for designing engaging packaging, working closely with Senior Designers and the Studio Design Manager on existing and new ideas and concepts.

The successful candidate will have a real passion for product and packaging design and will demonstrate excellent customer understanding, providing them with an offer that sells

Responsibilities:

• Product product designs, packaging and prints as requested
• Conduct store visits and produce UK competitive shop reports
• Design engaging packaging
• Research, collate and identify key trends across all consumer demographics, for the purpose of crafting original design
• Review pre-production submissions, referring to original comments made, ensuring all requested changes have been implemented and the finished quality of the product is of a high standard

Requirements:

• Minimum of 12 months’ design experience in a studio environment
• Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload to strict deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Enthusiastic and willing to develop design skills
• Have an understanding of current and future retail trends and fashions, with the ability to create original designs based on the same
• Good knowledge of the print process and its limitations
• MAC literate
• Be able to complete projects from initial concept through to finished product
