Position Title: EHSS Compliance and Sustainability

Job Description
The role is within the GSK Worldwide Business Development team (WWBD) and is based in the UK. In this role you will provide flexible administrative support internationally to the team including several members of the WWBD Leadership Team. You will be an integral member of the team, helping with the smooth running of WWBD and leading new approaches to foster a vibrant team environment in our new hybrid ways of working, thereby helping us all to deliver new medicines to patients.
Responsibilities:
- Thorough knowledge of compliance requirements (external and within GSK) in one or multiple areas: environmental health and safety (example EHS, GES, EP), risk management/ business continuity, operational/product quality. Remain current of the regulations and policies – uses this knowledge to identify compliance approaches and strategies which ensure a compliant organisation and ensure/maintain our License to Operate
- Lead/co-ordinate and support impact assessments with business lines/partners on EHS&S standards, policies, guidelines, change control (where applicable) – ensure mitigation, remediation are appropriately documented and closed
- Provides critical input to the design and continuous improvement of compliance processes that will impact MDS, using Lean Sigma and Change Management techniques as appropriate.
- Collaborates effectively with teams across the MDS/EHS&S and relevant partners to deliver compliance objectives
- Measures the performance of MDS in areas of compliance, and uses this data to proactively identify issues and generate solutions which improve compliance and build sustainability.
- Presents effectively to R&D/GSK forums in compliance and demonstrates the ability to influence direction through expertise in field.
- Contributes to the building of a compliance culture through the design and delivery of effective engagement communications, training, GEMBAs, metrics/dashboard
- Lead/Coordinate or participate in MDS participation in internal or external audit programs as the discipline’s SME, ensure inspection readiness, preparation, participation and closures of audit/resolutions as required
- Ensure communication/escalation process for awareness, consideration and action concerns/ risks which may impact or disrupt delivery of medicines in the pipeline or safety
- Lead/Support local or enterprise initiatives/specific projects required by business needs
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree with 5+ years of industry experience
