Position Title: Senior Design Engineer

Are you an experienced Design Engineer interested in delivering the Engineering content across multiple Facilities within the Conventional and Nuclear Projects’ portfolio? If so, this could be the role for you!

Responsibilities:
- Facilitating the creation and review of Design Control Plans for projects, and understanding progress against those
- Monitoring the co-ordination of engineering design activities of all design houses and other suppliers of engineering design contributing to the projects
- Monitoring Project changes as they affect the delivery of the design intent of projects and work packages therein
- Contributing to integrated safety when reviewing engineering designs and ensure that all technical and design risks are identified and appropriately managed to meet project requirements and the letter and intent of the CDM Regulations, including discharging the designer’s role
Requirements:
- Good technical and management skills including problem solving and decision making
- Good oral, written and presentational skills with a particular aptitude for report, documentation and letter writing
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to ensure effective communication to all levels to both internal and external personnel
- Ideally, we would expect candidates to have a Degree or equivalent qualification in a science or engineering discipline or equivalent vocational qualification
