Job Description

Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service are recruiting for a Senior Commercial Officer to lead and deliver a wide range of procurement projects, for new or replacement equipment, services and technology. Working closely with Gloucestershire County Council’s Strategic Procurement team, you will act as the main point of contact for procurement within the service and will also provide specialist support and advice to staff undertaking their own lower value procurements. The role will also require you to lead and support senior managers in the delivery of some high value and complex tenders for specialist and high value equipment or vehicles. You will be expected to demonstrate a good level of commercial knowledge and expertise, engage flexibly with a range of projects and requirements and possibly undertake discrete commercial projects.
