Job Description

Corporate & Institutional Coverage (CIC) is an origination and coverage business operating across the UK and North America. The business leads with a sector and relationship focus. It maintains UK regional delivery through hubs in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds and Manchester.

Responsibilities:

• Assumes overall responsibility for managing and maintaining a strong profile in the marketplace to identify and deliver high quality new business opportunities by using our full suite of payment and cash management solutions for both new and existing bank clients
• Deliver a growth strategy for the business by identifying new client opportunities and expansion of existing relationships
• Takes responsibility for implementing the customer needs strategy for payments and cash management, whilst leading major strategic bids
• Manages the definition, development and delivery of client bids and offers to ensure alignment with customer requirements
• Provides input into the development of compliance policies, develops underlying procedures and monitors their implementation for the team.
• Represents alongside fellow colleagues the organisation in a variety of industry and professional forums to promote the value of the Group
• Implement the team’s formal development framework with a focus on coaching and career development whilst pursuing and investing in opportunities for own personal development
• Sets team goals objectives and takes responsibility for implement a team’s performance management systems
• Effectively manages key partners across the business and wider organisation
• Provides input into the overall strategy of the TBS business as part of the leadership team

Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience of building and leading successful sales teams in the financial services industry
• Proven track record of delivering success in the transaction banking arena built over a number of years
• Background of delivering growth in new business as well as maintaining high value existing relationships
• Sound knowledge of the payments landscape; innovation, technology and the market trends driving the business forward
• Skill and experience at setting strategy, building pipeline momentum and delivering sales performance targets
• Ability to deliver coaching and development plans at all levels within the team
• Strong financial acumen, knowledge of budgets, economic return principles and capital treatment
• Ability to manage relationships with key product partners, coverage stakeholders and develop strong and productive internal networks
• Sound commercial, technical and risk-based decision making capability
• Identify product gaps or new product opportunities to influence the development of key new product service initiatives and more cost-effective delivery channels
• Evaluate industry, market, customer competitor and regulatory trends to ensure that identifiable risks and opportunities are defined and developed in order to deliver the appropriate response that protects and develops business benefits to the Group
• Post graduate economic, finance and or management qualifications (desirable)
