Job Description:

Chaffey College is seeking individuals from a broad range of cultural heritages, socioeconomic backgrounds, genders, abilities, and orientations. Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction of psychology courses in accordance with established course outlines;
  • Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics;
  • Participate on department and college committees;
  • Provide instruction and student support in a variety of formats and deliveries.
  • Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas;
  • Teach courses at the Chino and Fontana campuses, and high school locations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of and experience with principles of effective online education
  • principles and methodologies.
  • Participate in department and college committee work, curriculum and program development, community outreach, Success Center activities, department website development, and other duties necessary for the benefit of the students, the college, the community, and the profession.
  • Work effectively with diverse constituent groups such as business leaders, accreditation organizations, advisory committees, and others.
  • Perform other duties required of full-time faculty;
  • Effectively develop and maintain culturally-sensitive and equity-minded learning environment;
  • Participate in the development and revision of culturally responsive curriculum;

Requirements:

  • Evidence of commitment to practicing culturally-responsive instruction, providing students with a plurality of perspectives, engaging in equity-based efforts, and supporting holistic well-being and sense of belonging of all students.
  • Master’s degree in Psychology;
  • Three or more years of college-level teaching experience in Psychology;
  • Commitment to supporting students on all pathways.
